Here is Buster. I love Buster. I love all animals. In fact I'm too sensitive to animals I think. I want to volunteer at our local shelter soo bad but I know my heat can't take it. So I do what I can when I can.

Monday=Fun Day! CLOSED!!!

Monday is going to be a fun day. Not only did I finish 2 cards over the weekend, but I got a cute little give-a-way. :) The cutest digital image you ever did lay your eyes on.

I made up a card with her. She is a twirling fairy and will be released in the store this month. But I'm going to give her way to followers on my blog.

Here she is:

And another view:

And the sentiment:

Isn't she adorable? She was going to be a stamp. In fact she went into production and there was a mistake with her so she was not able to be sold. I haven't put her on the site yet, but I will next week. Only as a digital image though. :)

So how can you get this little cutie?

1. Follow my blog.
2. Put up a little blurb on your sidebar of your blog about her being available for free on paperyumness and link to my blog.
3. Comment on the post telling me you did the above and leave your email address. Please make sure you mask it so that spam bots won't get it. Do something like meatyahoodotcom. But make sure you make it so I can read it.

I will be offering her for free until Next Monday. So make sure you tell a friend!

If you are already a follower, just send me your email (same way) and I will get it to you. :)

Thanks for stopping by, Virginia

InStyle Stamps Blog Hop Friday!

Hello everyone,

Today is blog hop Friday and if you are just joining us please start at the beginning with Cyndi. :)

Our theme for this mont's blog hop is Ornaments. I decided to make you drool and sneak peek one of our images that will be available in the store on December 1st. She is our resident praying angel.

Isn't she cute. She is a digi. I embossed her and cut her out. I then colored the rest of her with copics and voila...my praying angel for our tree this year. I'm sorry the photo quality isn't great. I tried 3 times to take a better picture blech.

I'm investing in a light box very soon I promise.

Well now it's time to vote for your favorite DT project. They were all great. I'm so proud of my design team. They are awesome, talented ladies that have been nothing but a blessing to me and an asset to InStyle Stamps.

So make sure you go to InStyle Stamps and vote for your favorite project and then leave a comment on ISS blog so that you could possibly win a great prize along with the DT winner.

Happy Monday!

I need to think of some more greetings. Aren’t you a little tired of the same ol’ same ol’?

Today over on the ISS blog we have a great Method Monday Tutorial. We also have some great articles on What digital stamps are and how to print them. Make sure you check them out.

I have been working on my project for a few weeks now. It took me a long time to color them because I wanted to make sure I did a good job. I love the way they came out.

Initially I was going to create some wall art with them, but I decided to turn them into cards. I want to try to sell some so we will see how they do.

I used Mykai. I paper pieced her with 3 separate papers, colored her with copics and add some rub on’s. I think they came out cute. Mykai is fabulous. These cards are sized 5x7 because I wanted to make sure Mykai’s eyes were very visible when colored so I made her a little bigger.

Here she is:

Cute right?

And for a special treat I have to show off my great niece Alyjanae(pronounced Elijahnay in case you were wondering.) She is the most adorable little girl. I'm going to turn her into an anime.

Alyjanae

I call her Ms. Kerri Baby. If you know who Keri Hilson is for some reason Nae Nae, as we call her, reminds me of her. LOL. Nae Nae's hair is adorable. Bald on the sides and full on top and wavy. Her grandma had the exact same hair when she was born. And those ears are definitely from her mother cause everyone on the paternal side has small ones lol.

Little Chubbitas.

Well there you have it for this glorious Monday. I think tomorrow I will have some blog candy. I've been so busy I haven't been able to figure out what I want to offer. Yeah I have that much stuff. So if not tomorrow definitely before the end of the week.

Happy Monday

I hope you had a great weekend. I sure did. Spent some wonderful time with the family, was able to create a few projects and cleaned and organized the scraproom again. :)

On a sour note, my sewing machine is shot and it is going to cost too much to fix it so I'm in the market for a new one. I do mainly craft sewing but I will be making more purses and such. I'm thinking about getting a Janome. They say they have metal parts and can be cheaper in repairs. My Viking has plastic parts. Can you believe such a good name is made so cheaply? Maybe not all Viking's but mine was blech!

On the ISS blog it's Method Monday. Don't forget to check it out. Then on Wednesday we will have our Wednesday Challenge, stay tuned for that.

Here is my project for today. I call it Magical Love. I have that with my hubby. :)

I used Ava leaning for my project. I experimented with color. :)

Over the Hump Day Blog Candy Give-A-Way

This hump day is special to me because it is also Veteran’s Day. My husband is in the Marine Corps reserves. He served over 6 years active duty. He has about 11 years total so far. He was in Iraq in 2007 and is going to Afghanistan soon. We don’t know the exact date but it is imminent. Yesterday was the Marine Corps birthday. I personally think we should honor and thank our service people year round not just on particular days, but hey, that's just me.

I am so proud of my hubby. When he was in Iraq, we had a very close family member pass away and it was very hard on him being so far away from us all especially during that very stressful time. I know there are a lot of service members that experience far worse than what he did. It is truly a sacrifice to serve our nation and be the defenders of our freedom. For that, I truly thank every man and woman that has enlisted to protect our country. Some may not agree with war. Some may not think the military is important. Whatever your opinion or mindset is, you are entitled to it. But we should still respect and be thankful for those that do serve. Happy Veteran’s Day!!!

And now on to the craft stuff. :)

Go to the Instyle Stamps Blog for all the details. There is too much to type. But I will show you a picture of the blog candy. :)

Nuff said. :)

This month the theme is snow. Here is my project:

If you like blog candy as much as I do...go check it out!!!

Non-paper related

Hello All,

Happy Tuesday. I made a rag quilted purse and I was so pleased with how it came out. I'm working on 2 more. 1 of them is with one of our anime images. I just finished printing and coloring the image. I am not working on cutting the fabric. I hope it comes out just as nice.

Here is my first rag quilted purse:

Although it is very time consuming (probably will get faster once I get the hang of making them) but the results are so rewarding. I used it for the first time today and got a lot of compliments on the color choices and someone even asked me where I bought it. LOL...can't wait to see what they think of the one with one of the images.

I will be back tomorrow with the Over the Hump day Blog Candy give-away and winner from last month.

:)

New Blog Candy

Hope you had a good Friday. I did. Just got back from seeing the movie Precious. It was very very good. A must see, but bring your Kleenex. :)

2ndly...no one guessed what I used on the bottom of my project...it was a grated sponge and then I added copic ink to. :)

3rdly, I will be having blog candy this coming Monday. I'm swamped for the rest of the weekend so that is when I will be able to post a new project. I finally broke down and bought a compressor and airbrush system so I'm experimenting.

Have a fabulous one!

Wednesday Challenge - Felt

Happy Hump-Day!

I hope you are all having a terrific day so far. I'm running a little behind, but I'm still here. :)

I wanted to create something for the Wednesday Challenge. When I saw it was using felt...I was soo motivated. I have a ton of wool felt and regular felt and so the ideas started to flow. I finally thought...hmm I wonder if I could use the big shot flower dies and basket to make a project. Doesn't hurt to try right? And so I did.

In fact I sat up til 4 am trying to get this to come together. And it did!

Here is my felt project:

It took forever to get the base of that darn basket to stick. I like the way it came out.

So go over and enter. You will win a digi of your choice if you do. :)

Club Anime CAS3

Well yesterday was the CAS3 challenge over on Club Anime. You have 1 month to come up with a cute project using the sketch provided by Melissa.

This is my project:

And here is a close up of Chocolate gal and the sentiment:

I paper pieced the candy bar with a paper called raw metal. It is so great cause it looks like foil. It is textured. I love it when I'm doing metal stuff.

You will never guess what the bottom of the image is. In fact, I'm so confident that you won't I'm going to offer the exclusive Club Anime digital image as a reward for the first person that guesses what it is.

I will give you til 5:00 pm PST on Friday, November 6th to try to figure it out.

TFL and go check out the other images on Club Anime

ISS Blog Hop!

Hello All,

Hope you are having a nice, happy Friday! I can't thank God enough for the weekend being here already. Trust me, I need it.

Anyway today is ISS Blog Hop Friday and our theme of the month is Setting the Table. I've created a project (if that's what you want to call it) for this special occasion. We are releasing 2 new fall images...Pilgrims in fact today...so check them out, they are on sale now!!!

I combined 2 projects into one. I created a Thanksgiving day table full of all the yummy trimmings.

I decided to use our Chicken/Turkey with potato's, casserole (which I turned into mac n cheese), a side dish and some scrumptious looking bread! I had the dardest time trying to scale this table down but that was as small as I could it. LOL...Oy Vey! You can't really make out the sentiment at the bottom of the table but it says You are cordially invited to a Thanksgiving Feast!

The second items I created to finish out the "theme" were these cute little table toppers. Our family has a tradition that we do each year. Everyone writes down a thought or prayer (and I mean everyone even the kids) and we place them in a basket. About 20 minutes before we begin to eat we sit down and each person pulls one out and reads it.

We began doing this after a family member passed away a few years ago. It has really brought our family closer together.

So I created little boxes this year that will hold our thoughts and prayers. I will just remove the flowers and fill them with our little slips of paper that everyone will write on. I also add a few scriptures too.

Totally makes our Thanksgiving a time to truly giving thanks. Not just for the food, but for those we love and care about as well. You should try it.

My family likes it because sometimes they don't know what to say and this way they can just read off the slip and then add to it if they want.

I appreciate you stopping by and taking our blogging tour. Next on your journey is Raquel

If you just joined us now, here is a line up of the rest of the DT team. Don't forget to check them out too. Then go to the ISS blog to vote and also enter a comment for a chance to win a Paper kit filled with Bo Bunny papers and ICandy brads, May Arts ribbon and Bazzill cardstock.

I know I know

I haven't posted in a while nor have I posted a Blog Candy. Please forgive me. I've been swamped with work, the website and finally finishing up the total move of the office. So I'm all done with that.

I now have to finish an order of 80 invites by Friday and I have done NOTHING. So as you can see procrastination is the culprit cause I keep putting it off. I will be posting a few more cards I've made but I still need to take a picture.

Also we are having Blog Hop at ISS. So please stay tuned for that. :)

Happy Hump Day!

I am swamped with stuff to do and it's already almost 4:30 pm. I still have to go to the post office and ship lol.

Here is a quick card featuring a new image that will be released soon. Her name is Lorelei.

See you tomorrow. I have another cute card to share. Although I think it is a little plain. :)

I just finished Jana a cute little image now available at ISS. She is all decked out in her cold weather gear and stylin' of course. If I had eyes like that, I'm sure I'd look great any I wore too. But nope, I'm stuck with ordinary dark brown eyes. My best feature I think are my dimples. At least that's what I've been told.

Here is Jana, looking all warm! My hubby's favorite Christmas song is Baby It's Cold Outside. So I thought I'd make him a cute little card for his desk for this holiday season. He liked it so that counts for something right?

The funny thing about this image was I colored it before I decided on the paper I wanted to use. Luckily I had that patterned paper in my stash. I don't know the brand but I love it.

So on to the blog candy, I know you are all dying to see what it is. :)

Finally!!!

So yesterday I know I was supposed to post this but trust me, I'm surprised I'm on here now. I had to do 3 invitation samples for a client and only got 2 done by 3 am. So that meant getting some sleep and then up and at em early this morning to finish up the 3rd design. The problem is all three are not in her price range I'm thinking and so she will probably have to go with a store bought invitation and not a custom one. I really hope not, but I out did myself and even came up with 2 fabric invite samples. Don't ask me how I did it but I did lol. The 3rd is a paper pieced lovely that will take me about 90 hours to assemble 100 of them and color them each so that is why I'm saying she probably can't afford them. Oh well...lol.

Anywhoo...now onto the real reason why you are here. Blog candy. Seeing that I started my own blog I thought I'd do a lot of blog candy give-aways because well to be honest, I have a lot of stuff that I won't be using so why let it keep sitting around on my shelves lookin' pretty? :)

So my first prize will be the Love to Cook blog candy. The artist is Dan Dipaolo. The company is Lang. If you've heard of Lang then you know their products are top notch and are top quality! What will you get?

(1) 7 pc Nested box set- Nested boxes are neat boxes that fit inside each other. They are all beautifully decorated and brightly colored. Gorgeous!

(1) Matching 4x6 recipe card box with 100 matching receipe cards sets. Do you love to cook? Then I'm sure you have a ton of recipes you need to probably get organized. Why not coordinate them with this cute set!

(1) Matching wine box.

(1) Matching Apron.

(1) 3 pc Nested basket set with fill-same concept as the boxes only these are cute baskets with handles.

(2) Cheese spreaders with cute decorative matching handles. The handles match the theme of the boxes. How cute is that?

(1) Covered Mini list- Can be used for notes or groceries your choice!

The retail value of this giveaway is $125.00.

Here's a picture:

How cute is that? The set is wonderful and it is brand new still in the packaging. So what do you have to do to win this lovely candy? Simply comment about your favorite recipe handed down to you from a loved one by 6 pm PST on October 12th. I will select my favorite comment and announce the winner on Tuesdsay October 13th. That's it. It's that simple.

What are you waiting for? Get to commenting! And don't forget to tell a friend.

Slight Delay

Happy Saturday all!

I hope you are all having a groovy Saturday. :) Never mind me. I'm in a totally good mood considering I'm swamped with stuff to do which leads me to why I'm even posting in the first place.

I'm going to be having a big huge blog candy give-a-way tomorrow. I was supposed to do it yesterday, but I got behind with the office move and getting organized. I just couldn't do it all. So I'm working non-stop now to get it all done by tomorrow because I have a lot to put a way. Trust me it's all good though. I found all kinds of great stuff I'm going to be giving away and so this blog is going to be blog candy give-a-way central lol.

So please stop by tomorrow for all the deets. You will not be disappointed. You will want to shout this from the roof tops. Ok maybe not actually risk your life by climbing up on your roof...but you will at least want to wave some ribbon around in celebration lol.

Thanks for stopping by!

Wednesday Challenge

I was able to make a project for the Wednesday Challenge over at ISS. The prize is a digi of your choice. :)

I love the colors this challenge and decided to participate. What do I have to lose since I can't really win lol.

I decided to use Mayah from our October Club Anime exclusive images. Hope you like it! I'm learning how to color different skin types with Copics. I think it's a little too dark...but my sister liked it. Oh well you get my drift!

Isn't the ribbon yummy? It's this double sided suede. Very expensive but makes the point beautifully. I love my bling lol. Sorry the image picture didn't come out that great. Looks way better in person. :)

For the top note (as you can see I'm on a kick right now) I used Strano's Ribbon stiffer on the fabric to give it a little bit of stiffness but not much. After it dried I grabbed the cuttlebug and ran embossed it and then I ran it through the big shot. The edges came out beautifully. And they won't fray because of the stiffner.

Tomorrow I hear ISS is having a huge sale. Be sure to check them out. And then come back on Friday for my blog candy! You will be happy you did.

Recipe:
Patterned paper: Bo Bunny Abbey Road. Cardstock: Bazzill Pinecone, Neenah Classic Solar White, Image: Mayah-InStyle Stamps, Copics, Crystals, Stampin' Up! Ink and Punches, Creative Cafe Buttons, Top Note Die, Heidi Grace Rubon, Midori Ribbon.

First project for my new blog!!!

Thanks for stopping by...:)

I decided to start a blog separate from the company blog . I like the idea of being able to link and participate in all the challenges when I can and not interfere with the day to day business aspect of a company blog. Awh... makes me feel like a real design team member ha ha.

For my first project, I decided to try out a quilt block, top note card. It was simpler to do than I thought. I got the idea from my old upline when I was a *gasp* Stampin Up! demo lol. How cute is that card. Here is my version:

And a close-up of the blocking:

It was so simple to make it's not even funny. Simply cut a piece of white cardstock 5 x 3 3/4. Cut your patterned paper you will be using in 1 1/4 squares. Adhere them to the white cardstock in the order you'd like and run it through your big shot. It's that easy.

I was addicted and made a ton of them. Great way to get rid of your scraps too. For this one I decided to turn it into a thank you card. The thank you is a rubon. I have a lot to be thankful for. I then added a crystal and some ribbon. The white circle with the sentiment on it has been chalked around the edge.

I will be having some blog candy on Friday!!! :) Make sure you stop back by.
